Who this is from

Komopa is an iPhone app made by an independent developer. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that developer, and "the app" means Komopa. You can reach us any time at komopa.app@gmail.com.

Health and step data

Komopa asks permission to read your step count from Apple Health. That is the only kind of health data it requests, and it is the mechanic the whole app is built on: steps become food for your Komo.

• Step data is read only from your device, and only after you grant permission in the Health permission sheet.
• Step data is used solely to run the game: to award food, to fill the step wallet you spend on decorations, and to draw the Step Log chart inside the app.
• Health data is never transmitted off your device to us or to anyone else. We never receive it, and we could not look at it if we wanted to.
• Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, never shared with third parties, and never used for any purpose other than the app's own features.
• Komopa never writes to Apple Health. It only reads.
• Steps you typed into the Health app by hand are deliberately excluded, so the game reflects walking you actually did.

You can withdraw permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Komopa, or in the Health app itself. The app keeps working; it simply stops earning new food.

What is stored, and where

Everything Komopa knows — your Komo, its name, its mood, your step wallet, your rooms and decorations, your journal — is stored on your iPhone. There is no account to create, and no server of ours holds a copy.

iCloud backup

If iCloud is available on your device, Komopa saves a backup of your game so a new phone can pick up where the old one left off. That backup goes to your own private iCloud storage, under your Apple Account. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot read it, and we receive no notification that it exists. The backup contains game state only — it deliberately does not include your health data.

Purchases

Komopa offers optional one-time in-app purchases. These are handled entirely by Apple. We never see, receive or store your name, payment card, billing address or Apple Account details. All we learn is whether a given purchase is unlocked on the device in front of you — and even that is answered by Apple's App Store, not by us.

What we collect: nothing

To be explicit, Komopa contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party software development kits. We do not build a profile of you, because we have nowhere to put one and nothing to put in it. Komopa does not track you across apps or websites, and no data is used to follow you anywhere.

Children

Komopa is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing we could knowingly gather from a child under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and nothing to request the deletion of from us.

Deleting your data

• On your device: delete the app. Everything it stored locally goes with it.
• In iCloud: go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, find Komopa, and delete its data.

There is no third step, because there is no copy anywhere else.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to hand over, correct or erase — and we have never sold or shared personal information, because we have never had any. The data lives on your device, under your control, and the deletion steps above are complete.

Changes to this policy

If Komopa ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a future version were ever to collect anything at all, we would say so here plainly and ask for your consent in the app before it did.
